Functional Range Conditioning

Functional Range Condition is a system of joint health and maintenance developed by Dr. Andreo Spina. FRC focuses on 3 main training goals: mobility development, joint strength and body control. The FRC system uses various training and hands on approaches to achieve these goals including end range and rotational training known as CARS(controlled articular rotations) as well as incorporating isometric muscle contractions in the PAILS(progressive angle isometric loading) and RAILS(regressive angle isometric loading) exercises. The result of implementing this system is not only increased range of motion in our joints but an improvement in the CONTROL that we express through those ranges of motion that ultimately leads to improved function of our joints and less likelihood of injury.
